Live from the front seat of my car (somewhere in the shade…because Atlanta in July).
My husband is having another procedure today.
Because of post-COVID protocols, I sit outside, laptop balanced, Diet Coke in the RaceTrac cup, and my “beautiful badass” tumbler by my side.
But truthfully?
I don’t feel beautiful.
I definitely don’t feel badass.
I feel tired.
I feel broke.
I feel broken.
Eleven years of caregiving, crisis management, career pivoting, parenting, and pretending I’m fine…has worn my resilience paper thin.
And yet—here I am.
Working on marketing strategies. Building something new. Holding hope in one hand and a to-do list in the other.
This is the real story behind so many leaders you know.
🧩 The ones carrying a P&L and a parent’s medication schedule.
🧩 The ones smiling on Zoom while worrying about discharge paperwork.
🧩 The ones building businesses in between appointments and breakdowns.
So today, I’m starting something new:
The Caregiving + Career Chronicles.
Not curated. Not filtered. Just real life in the messy middle—where grace, grit, and caffeine coexist.
I don’t have all the answers.
But I do have experience and a deep desire to walk with other leaders who are carrying more than most.
If you see yourself in this post, you’re not alone.
If you need help finding your rhythm again—your harmony—I’d be honored to walk beside you.
Signed,
Beautiful Badass. Just not today!
